GIRLS WEEKEND IN NYC for girl with brain cancer:

March 2010- DPAF was contacted about a girl in Baltimore whose school had donated to us through a charity basket ball game. After speaking with the family, we learned their 12 year old daughter was rediagonosed with recurrent brain cancer and was told she had about 12 months to live. Amazingly, this young girl started creating a "bucket list" and requested a trip to NY to see the American Girl Museum with her mom and 3 sisters...DPAF sent her family there in style and also created a weekend that included train rides, a suite in Times Square, Broadway shows, and many other activities.

 

HELPING OUR SOLDIERS!!!:

June 2010- DPAF for the 3rd year in a row partners with Operation First Response with over $10,000 in support to soldiers and families returning wounded from abroad.

 

DPAF Continues to help patients & Family from Children's Hospital:

June 2010- DPAF expanded its relationship with C.H.O.P and will now be working with families in the Oncology Department. To date DPAF has brought a laptop to a young patient who was forced out of communication with many of his friends due to his illness, while picking up the family expenses for 3 months so the mom could work less and stay with her son, and has sent a family of 5 to Walt Disney World who has just recently returned with glowing faces and amazing gratitude for what was dubbed "A trip of a lifetime"..
